When do the surf camps take place?
All Surf Sport Nipper Training camps take place during school holidays throughout the year. The next weekly holiday camps take place from 19 December 2011 to 20 January 2012.
Training dates:
19 - 22 December & 23 December
26 - 29 December & 30 December
2 - 5 January & 6 December
9 - 12 January & 13 January
16 - 19 January & 20 January
23-26 January & 27 January
NOTE: Training Camps run for 4 days (Monday to Thursday) & Friday is held as a seperate ONE day camp.
How long do the training camps run for?
The camps run for 4 days, Monday - Thursday. When enrolling for the week, you have the following options:
4 Full days: 9am - 4pm
4 Half Days: either in the morning session (9am - 12pm) or the afternoon session (1 - 4pm)
OR If you cannot commit to a FULL WEEK, there is the ONE DAY TRAINING option held each Friday: 9am - 4pm
Where do we meet?
All sessions run out of North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club at the northern end of Bondi Beach. Participants meet 15 minutes prior to the start of the session at the North Bondi Surf Club House.
Do parents need to be there for the duration of the lesson?
No, throughout the duration of sessions, adequate water safety is provided in accordance with SLSA's coaching and water safety guidelines and insurance requirements.
NOTE: Children MUST be collected at the time the session concludes - i.e. 12pm OR 4pm
However, parents are encouraged to be waiting outside North Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club 5 minutes prior to the end of the session their child is concluding.
Does my child have to be a member of a surf club?
No, the Training camps are designed to cater for all levels and abilities - Nipper members or not!
Does my child have to have their own board?
No, for all board paddling sessions boards will be provided, however children can bring their own foam nipper boards.
